Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    All out in main heath all good.

     All seen. White ones easy to find.the Sussex’s are camouflaged well but they where all there

     All seen..took a while for the third Sussex to come out of the bushes he was eating. Look fine. A magpie was hoping from back to back of a couple of them

     Seen in the very wet bit..grazing and looked fine. All seen but one Sussex in bushes so not on photos

    All Cows Seen J2

    All 4 British Whites and three Sussex found, all in good condition. Happy and healthy. We are just assessing grazing levels and will make a decision shortly.

    Three seen at 10.30. 146 in F6 and 187 and a Sussex came over from E4

     Tried very hard to find the other 4 but couldn’t 

    146 was alone and mooing loudly and we heard mooing from the other direction and 187 and a Sussex appeared and joined 146 grazing on the trees

     Four cows seen. Could not find the other : but lots of tracks around. Looking fine
