Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

Wednesday 18th December - Pony Update - All 12 seen

Nicky visited the site this afternoon, shortly after 15:15, to reintroduce Polly into the group. Polly had been seen by the blacksmith earlier in the day, so hopefully, her feet will stay problem-free. She was very friendly and was looking absolutely gorgeous. With Polly's return, there are now eight ponies on the Hawley Common reserve.

The ponies had been grazing near the gate by the car park but ran up to the area east of the compound when they heard the trailer, curious to see what was going on. When Polly emerged, they seemed pleased to see a familiar face and remained calm. After some initial greetings and a brief run around together, the group quickly settled. Polly spent time reacquainting herself with her surroundings, while Davinia appeared especially happy to have her friend back, staying close by her side. The other six ponies rested near ///mull.grins.rattled and were all looking in excellent condition.

The yearlings were grazing near ///channel.unfit.broke, close to the tank pits, when we arrived. Upon hearing the truck, they wandered out onto the path. They were all happy, relaxed, and in good condition.

The cows and the ponies were good today.

    1. Thank you for the update Gordon. I wasn't aware that Polly was being re-introduced so I will catch up with Nicky. Glad they're all looking well.
