Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Friday 27th October Staff check


     Found 7 by the dems pits, after a bit of calling number 8 appeared out the nearby bushes.

    Monday 16th UPDATE

    Went to fix the broken kissing gate near the corral. All sorted now!


    Whilst here saw all 8 cows, in 2 groups - a 5 and a 3 on opposite sides of the site!


    All seemed fine.


     

    Monday 16th gate in C5 by cattle grid damaged..phoned in

    Gate in c5 damage non cow side but nails visible and did consider if cows could get over as trough full of leaves..dog could and cant normally but he is smaller
    Cows 5 in i4/j4 fox thor and tristan and two others..could not find others but dense area close by






     Main damage is on non cow side but grid full of leaves so wonder if they could get over if they wanted to..dog can but he is smaller

    Saturday 5th October - All 8 seen
