    Sunday 30th June - All 2 seen

As I was approaching the northern side of the ammo compound at 15:30 this afternoon, Davinia appeared on top of the large grass mound. She had climbed up to graze along its top and sides. Polly was on the other side of the mound and was delighted to see me. She immediately came over and gave me lovely head rubs and nuzzles. She was happy to receive an ear rub. Davinia soon came down and wandered round to see me. She was equally friendly and gave me some gentle nickers before enjoying a long neck rub.
By 16:00, the sun had come out, and the girls started to graze in the surrounding area. They were enjoying lots of fresh grass. Polly soon took a break and enjoyed a long neck rub while standing in the sunshine. She had her head tucked into my side and at one point rested her head on my shoulder. We then moved on to a back rub, where she fully relaxed, bowing her head and resting her eyes. The ponies were both back grazing in the area around ///tenses.reds.ribcage by 16:20. They were both happy, relaxed and looking really well. It was lovely to spend some extra time with them today. I said my goodbyes just after 16:50 with them both still eating. The ponies were good today.

    Saturday 29th June - All 2 seen

The ponies were grazing to the northwest of the ammo compound at 15:30 this afternoon, but started wandering towards me when they saw me coming. We met at the side of the compound where I received a very warm welcome from the girls. Polly was giving me lovely head rubs and Davinia was making soft nicker sounds. They were both happy to receive the first of many head rubs. The girls were both happy, relaxed and looking well. After a while, we wandered anti-clockwise around the compound, getting to the area around ///beads.paler.bill. The ponies would alternate between munching on fresh grass and coming over to see me for lots of strokes. Polly enjoyed an extra long back rub while standing in the warm sunshine. She was very relaxed and was resting her eyes at several points. She had some more cream applied to her nose. I said goodbye to the girls just before 17:00, with Davinia munching on grass in one of the pits around ///roadblock.admiral.drift. Polly was eating fresh grass at the edge of the pit. It was lovely to spend some quiet time with them this afternoon.

The ponies were both good today.

    Tuesday 25th June - All 2 seen

The ponies were grazing just off the path in the area around ///whisk.dreams.outsize at 17:20 this afternoon.  They were both very friendly and came over to say hello as soon as they saw me.  The girls were both looking great and appeared to be enjoying the hot weather.  After both receiving relaxing head and back rubs, they got back to eating lots of fresh grass.  Judging by the amount of dust in their coats, they must have had a roll about recently.

The ponies would alternate between grazing and coming over to be stroked.  They were both happy and very relaxed.  I noticed that Polly had a small touch of sunburn on her nose, so I went to the car to get some cream.  The ponies both followed me and waited by the fence until I came back.  Polly was fine having some cream applied to her nose.  It was actually nice and cool under the trees by the entrance, so we stood for a while.  Polly then enjoyed a long back rub while standing and relaxing in the sun.  Davinia preferred to stand in the shade.  Shortly after 18:10, the girls got back to grazing, enjoying more grass from the side of the path.  I said my goodbyes soon after.

Before I left, I took a walk over to the trough to ensure the ponies had plenty of fresh drinking water.  The trough was full and looking nice and clean.

    The ponies were good today.

    Saturday 22nd June - All 2 seen

The ponies were found grazing in the area around ///busy.bonfires.leaky at 14:40 this afternoon.  Both quickly came over and said hello.  The girls were both very friendly, giving me lovely head rubs and nuzzles as they approached.  They were both happy, relaxed and looking really well.  The warm weather had brought a few flies, but they weren't bothering the ponies too much.

The girls rarely left my side today, and that was only to occasionally nibble on some fresh grass.  They were more than happy to stand in the sun and be stroked and scratched.  Davinia enjoyed several neck, ear and back rubs.  I'm sure that Polly would have stood in the sun and let me stroke her neck and back all afternoon if given the chance.  She was thoroughly enjoying the attention and was very relaxed, alternating between resting her hind legs.  The girls were both looking gorgeous in the warm afternoon sun.  I eventually said my goodbyes just after 16:10, with the ponies wandering off into the dense bracken as I left.

    The ponies were good today.

    Wednesday 19th June - All 2 seen

The ponies came wandering along the side of the main path to meet me in the area around ///chilled.safely.prowl at 17:10 this afternoon.  They were both very friendly and were pleased to receive the first of many head rubs.  The girls were happy, relaxed, and looked great in the warm sunshine.

After a while, we crossed over to the grassy area on the other side of the path.  The ponies would alternate between being stroked and munching on grass.  Polly was giving me lovely cuddles as she was enjoying an ear rub.  Her nose was looking good today, as was her log.

The ponies continued to graze, getting to the east side of the ammo compound by 17:45 where they continued to enjoy the fresh grass.  Soon after, Polly came over to see me again and was happy to receive a long back rub.  She was so relaxed, standing in the sun and resting her eyes.  After a while, Davinia came over and enjoyed a neck rub.  I said goodbye to the girls at 18:15, as they stood side by side at the fence, completely relaxed and looking gorgeous.

Thank you, Chris, for removing the metal objects earlier today.

The ponies were both good today.

Saturday 15th June - All 2 seen - more metal removed and placed by the entrance gate

The girls were sheltering from a shower under the trees around ///tunes.joints.cafe at 15:20 this afternoon.  They both came to meet me and gave me a very warm welcome.  The ponies both enjoyed neck, ear, and back rubs while they relaxed.  Polly was extra friendly today and was giving me lovely head rubs and nuzzles while being stroked.  After the rain passed, the ponies started to graze in the long grass, before wandering east to the large patch of grass by the main entrance by the car park at 16:05.

The ponies continued to take turns at being stroked, before they set off grazing along the side of the main path.  At one point, Polly came over to see me and I noticed some metal wire at her feet.  I managed to pull it all out of the ground.  I then noticed the first foot of a sharp, rusty metal fence post sticking out of the ground.  It took me a good while to extract it, as it was buried very deep, and I had no tools or gloves with me.  The whole time I was wrestling with it, Polly never left my side.

Polly's nose was looking much better today.  There was still a small dry patch on the right side, which I applied some more cream to.  She enjoyed another long ear and neck rub while standing in the sun before I said goodbye to them just before 17:00.

The strands of metal wire and the fence post have been placed outside the entrance gate by the car park.  They are behind a wooden post with the number 53 on it.  Would it be possible for a member of staff to remove these please?

The ponies were both good today.
