Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Wednesday 13th March - All 4 seen

Three of the ponies were resting at the side of the wooded area around ///defaults.opponent.folk at 10:35 this morning.  The fourth pony was grazing out in the open at the far side of the trees.  They were all happy and relaxed.  The ponies were all very friendly and came over several times to say hello and to receive ear and head rubs.

After a while, the ponies all wandered over to the area around ///crypt.caskets.only where they started to graze.  The darker of the ponies was showing off her hill climbing skills and was grazing on top the large grass mound.  The others were eating lots of grass and gorse.  The ponies were all in good spirits, and it was so nice to spend some extended time with them today on a rare day off.

It looks like the light brown pony who was most affected by the previous fungal infection may have a new one.  She received some treatment for the same after I shared some photos with the owner, Nicky.  The pony with the white striped nose also has a couple of "chips" on her front feet.  Nicky says this will be okay, and she plans to visit soon to trim their feet.

The ponies were all good today.
