Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Tuesday 6th August - All 6 seen

The ponies were all happily grazing in the area to the southwest of the ammo compound near ///bibs.they.huts at 18:05 this evening.  They all came over to say hello, and were very friendly.  Davinia was eating in the bushes, but when she heard my voice she came out to see me, making gentle nickering noises as she approached.  She was super friendly this evening, giving me lovely head rubs and gentle nuzzles.  She stood and enjoyed a long neck rub, while the other ponies wandered off to start grazing towards the southeast of the compound.

The ponies continued to graze in the warm sunshine around ///focus.cargo.belief.  They began to spread out, enjoying lots of fresh grass and the occasional bit of gorse.  The girls were all happy, relaxed and looking well.  They would regularly take a break and come over to see me, with several enjoying back rubs.

By 19:00, the ponies had started grazing along both sides of the path down towards the entrance by the car park.  Davinia approached again and was happy to stand and be stroked, at one point resting her head on my shoulder.  The other ponies all continued to eat as they slowly made their way along the path.  I started to say my goodbyes around 19:20, only for Davinia and Bewitched to follow me all the way to the gate.  It appeared they didn't want me to leave tonight.   After staying a little longer, I eventually dragged myself away when the other ponies caught up.

The ponies were all good today.
