Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Saturday 27th January - All 11 seen

The ponies were all happily grazing in the area around ///precluded.basin.cared at 12:45 this afternoon.  They were enjoying the sunshine and were very relaxed.  They were all looking well.  I thought there was some real improvement in their faces today.  They all came and said hello and received ear rubs.  After receiving her ear rub, the striped nosed pony rolled around on her back, right in front of me, five or six times.  She looked like she was having fun.  Afterwards, the ponies continued to graze, moving in a westerly direction, making it to the area around ///notes.coats.ironic by 13:20.

The seven cows were found in the area around ///shell.startles.chipper at 13:30.  Steer 1640 and cow 1396 were standing chewing their cud.  It looked like they hadn't long got up.  The other five cows were lying down, relaxing.  Over the next twenty minutes, they all slowly got up and had a stretch.  They then wandered north-west through the gorse and heather to the central track, where they took a drink from some of the puddles.  They then continued north-west into the pasture, where they started to graze.  The cows were all looking well.

The cows and the ponies were good today.
