Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Saturday 17th February - All 4 seen

The ponies were all grazing in the area around ///caused.really.willing at 13:15 this afternoon.  They wandered round in a loop, including a trip through the trees, before returning to the same area to continue grazing.  They were enjoying lots of grass, gorse and heather.  The ponies were all very friendly and came and said hello and were happy to receive ear rubs.  The stripey nosed and the light brown ponies went for a roll around close to where I was standing.  When they were done, they got back to grazing.  All four ponies were happy and relaxed, and were looking great.

The darker of the ponies wandered off by herself and stood at the side of the ammo dump shortly before 13:50.  I wandered over to check on her and she was fine.  She was happy to stand and receive a long neck and head rub.  She was very relaxed.  The hair on her face is nearly fully grown back in now, which is great to see.  I said goodbye to girls just after 14:10.

The ponies were all good today.
