Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Wednesday 2nd April - Afternoon

Easily found the cows just behind the corral, they were enjoying the sun and all 4 of them laid down in the dead broken for a chill out.

278 Possible issue - just before he laid down I thought I saw a large amount of warts/growths between his back legs.  It may have just been matted hair balls but I think not.   Can someone else get to have a look when he is standing?

All 8 ponies were at the side of the track at the Ammo Dump eating the gorse.  They all looked well but 1 pony has a hoof that may need trimming.

    All the others appeared fine.

    1. Hi Howard. I hope you are well. Yes, I've noticed them too. I shared photos with the Grazing Team back on the 24th March. They responded, saying they said they were keeping them “on the radar". Kind regards, Gordon

    3. Hi, thanks for the update, can confirm Gordon's report, it is being monitored, it's something to do with his immune system but it causing him no ill health at present. I'll be out to fly spray them over the next few days so I'll take another detailed look. Thanks also for the note about the pony's hoof which Gordon noted over the weekend but I do appreciate your thoroughness. Kind Regards, Zoe
