Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Saturday 16th December - All 12 seen

The ponies were eating gorse and heather in the area around ///group.dabbing.bend at noon.  All four were happy and relaxed.  They were all very friendly and one by one came over to say hello.  Sadly, the scrapes on the two ponies faces were not looking much better than they were last weekend.

Steers 197 and 1669 were happily munching on heather in the area around ///power.greed.shrimps at 12:50.  They were both looking well.  Steer 210 emerged from the thicket and wandered out onto the main path around ///cakes.smarter.imply at 13:15, where he started to eat some gorse.  The other five were deep in the trees and thicket on both sides of the path.  Cows 211 and 212 on one side, and cow 1396 plus steers 1626 and 1640 on the other.

It was nice to meet Jacky today while I was checking the ponies.

The cows and the ponies were good today.
