Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Wednesday 27th December - All 12 seen

The ponies were initially standing relaxing in the area around ///wants.crafts.wealth at 10:25 this morning.  They were all damp but seemed happy enough.  They were their usual friendly selves and came and said hello.  After 10 minutes or so, they decided to take advantage of the rain being off and wandered through the trees to the area around ///saunas.twit.rope where they started to munch on some crunchy gorse.  The ponies were all well.

Seven cows were standing on the path around ///flexed.cookies.refilled just before 11:00.  The eighth, steer 1626, was munching in the gorse bushes to the south of the path.  It turned out Alex had been called out after a report of an escaped cow at the site, and I suspect his first pass in his truck had brought them out of the gorse bushes and onto the path.  They were all happy and looking well.  When Alex returned, steer 1626 came out of the gorse bushes and stood in the trench alongside the path.

The cows and the ponies were all good today.
