Saturday 28th February - All 11 seen

At 14:25 this afternoon, the cattle were resting near ///butlers.stressed.states, east of the ammo compound. As I approached, yearlings 276 and 282 got up to greet me, while yearlings 278 and 283 initially remained lying down. They soon got up as well, and all four took turns enjoying neck and back scratches. The boys appeared happy, relaxed, and were looking well.

Within fifteen minutes, the ponies came wandering over from the northeast, keen to say hello and enjoy some attention. The boys seemed unimpressed that their time had been interrupted, but wisely moved out of the ponies way, making plenty of noise as they did so. After about ten minutes, they wandered off and lay down south of the paddock, and I later returned to spend some more time with them.

The ponies were very friendly, approaching one by one for long neck and back rubs. They were very affectionate, with most offering head rubs and gentle nuzzles in return. Afterwards, they spread out to graze in the surrounding area or rest in the sun, which had made a welcome appearance. All seven were happy, content, and in good condition.

Before long, the ponies drifted back for more strokes and rubs. Most thoroughly enjoyed having their backs and sides brushed, with loose gorse carefully untangled from their manes and tails. The girls relaxed completely, lowering their heads and resting a hind leg in contentment.

By 16:10, the ponies were either grazing or resting in the sunshine, so I wandered back to spend more time with the boys. All four stood up as I approached and soon gathered around me, each keen to receive more strokes and rubs. When not being fussed over, they chewed their cud while resting in the sun or engaged in gentle play-fighting with one another. They were a pleasure to spend quiet time with.

I returned to the ponies at 16:50 and began saying my goodbyes. Six were grazing further northeast of where I had left them earlier. After a final round of strokes, I left them peacefully grazing. The boys had followed me part of the way, so I went back to say goodbye to them too. I then walked over to Davinia, who was grazing alone in the gorse bushes near ///term.flexibly.added. She appeared perfectly fine but seemed to want a little time away from the others and happily enjoyed another long neck and back rub. I said my goodbyes at 17:30, leaving her quietly nibbling on gorse, with the other ponies still visible in the distance.

The cows and the ponies were all good today.

Friday 27 February 26. (08.30 - 09.00). All 11 seen. All well

 The cattle were in E9, about 100 yards west of the cattle grid at the S end of the tarmac road to the ammo dump.  Jet was just inside the tree line, while Jura, J'Adore and Jeans were about 50 yards away in the clearing.

The ponies were all in G6/7, about 150-200 yards SE of the ammo dump compound.

Wednesday 25th - Afternoon

 Found the cows at ///riverbank.gliding.trend they were all fine and each had a good neck rub.

Ponies were in the "Compound" mostly just dozing in the afternoon sun.  All were fine

Tuesday 24th ponies in E6 11.30 cows in L5

 Ponies easy to find. All sunbathing by the ammo dump. Had a stroke. Polly very chilled ..her back was really warm in the sun.

Cows in the really boggy bit. We got a bit muddy but did find them. Jura said hello. Jet was across a bit of water.. they were all mooing and then I could just about see him. They looked fine
