Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Tuesday 26th December - All 12 seen

The ponies were grazing alongside the path in the area around ///moss.care.tasks at 12:45 this afternoon.  They were all happy and relaxed.  One by one, they came over and said hello.  Over the next twenty minutes, the ponies slowly made their way along the path before stopping in the area around ///beep.moves.bead.  They relaxed for a bit, taking the opportunity to have a drink from the many deep puddles, before munching on some gorse.  The pony with the white striped nose was very friendly today and stood and received an ear rub for a good 10 minutes.  I noticed that the graze on her nose has become more pronounced since I saw her on Saturday (photo below).

Steer 210 and cow 211 were found wandering along the path in the area around ///unrated.guises.asked at 13:40.  They stopped and said hello before disappearing into the thicket to the south.  The other six cows were all grazing in the very swampy land around ///spoken.gilding.loads.  They were enjoying lots of gorse.

The cows and the ponies were good today.
