The ponies were standing, resting in the sun, on the north-eastern side of the ammo compound at 17:15 this afternoon. I received a couple of lovely soft nickers from them when I first arrived. They were both happy, relaxed and looking really well. The girls were both super friendly and were happy to receive lots of ear, neck and back rubs.
After a good while, the ponies started to graze in the surrounding area, munching on lots of fresh grass. However, they would come back over regularly and gently nudge and nuzzle me to give them more attention. It was so lovely to spend some quiet, relaxing time with them. I said goodbye shortly before 18:30 and after initially following me, they both got back to grazing in the warm sunshine.
Polly's cut continues to heal nicely. She's had some more antiseptic spray and gel applied to the wound. She was absolutely fine after both treatments.
The ponies were both good today.
