Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Wednesday 15th May - All 2 seen

The ponies were found grazing near ///clef.bags.breached shortly before 18:50. The army was just about to start a training exercise in that area. Luckily, the ponies were happy to follow me, and we wandered over to the area just to the south of the ammo compound. Just as we were nearing the area, the army started their gunfire which briefly startled the ponies, but they quickly relaxed.
The ponies soon began to graze on the fresh grass on the east side of the compound, in the glorious sunshine. They were happy and looking really well. They both came over and said hello and were happy to stand and receive long ear rubs. The ponies soon got back to grazing and went on a loop of the cooler surrounding area, before coming back to the warm sunshine at the compound. I said goodbye to them shortly before 20:00. Polly has had some more antiseptic spray and gel applied to her leg. Her cut was looking good. She was wandering around fine after both treatments. The ponies were both good this evening.
