Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Saturday 4th May - All 3 seen

The ponies were all grazing in the area around ///dumps.correctly.shut at 13:20 this afternoon.  They were enjoying lots of dry grasses and heather.  There were many flies around today, so there was lots of tail swishing and foot stamping going on.  Despite this, they were all happy, relaxed and looking really well.  They all took a break from grazing to come and say hello and to receive some head and back rubs.  It was quite noticeable today that their coats are thinning out.

The ponies slowly grazed northeast, ending up in the area around ///figs.prospers.relax by 13:50.  They continued to munch on the fresh grass.  A couple took a drink from the large puddles.  They all wanted a bit more attention, so I was happy to oblige before saying goodbye to them just after 14:15.

I thought Polly's cut was looking better again today.  It's really started to draw together now.  She's had some more antiseptic spray and some gel applied.  She was fine after both treatments and was keen to get back to grazing.

The ponies were all good today.
