Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Monday 27th May - All 2 seen

I didn't even have to go looking for the ponies this afternoon.  They were both grazing around ///blogs.liner.credit at 16:55, and just after I came around the bend from the entrance gate, they saw me and came to meet me.  They were both happy, relaxed and looking really well.

The girls were both super friendly, and were delighted to have some company.  Davinia thoroughly enjoyed a twenty-minute head and neck rub.  Whenever I stopped for a rest, I was gently nuzzled to continue.  Polly enjoyed a long double ear and neck rub.

At 17:45 the girls started to graze, enjoying lots of fresh grass from the side of the path.  They slowly followed the path northwest towards the ammo compound, coming over regularly for more attention.  I said goodbye at 18:00, having walked with them for most of the way.  It was lovely to spend some quiet time with them today.

Davinia has a little chip in her front left hoof.  Polly's leg was looking good today.  She had some antiseptic spray applied at the start of my visit, but I didn't apply the gel as there was a chance of some showers this evening.

The ponies were both good today.
