Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

Saturday 18th May - All 2 seen - more metal removed from the site

I couldn't initially find the ponies this afternoon, despite a good look around the site.  It did, however, allow me to continue my search for metal and do a spot of litter picking.  I carried out a good search of the large central pasture of the site, but didn't find anything of any real significance metal wise.

After finishing, I went for a long loop of the site looking for the girls.  When I got to the area around ///flock.poses.backdrop, I discovered two clumps of metal wire which I pulled out of the ground.  I also found a large, sharp, rusty piece of metal lying on the ground close by.  All three items were moved to the outside of the perimeter fence.

I was delighted to discover the ponies grazing along the side of the path around ///trendy.woof.essay at 14:40.  Both were happy to see a familiar face and came and said hello.  They were happy to stand and receive ear and head rubs.  There were a fair few flies around today, but they weren't bothering the ponies too much.  The ponies slowly followed the path towards the ammo compound, munching on grass and leaves from the bushes.

The ponies had reached the area around ///claw.twigs.hexes to the southeast of the compound by 15.15 where they continued to graze.  Both of them came for another head rub before I said goodbye to them about ten minutes later.  They were both happy, relaxed and looking well.

Polly has had more antiseptic spray applied to her leg.

The ponies were good this afternoon.
