Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Friday 15th November - All 11 seen

Two ponies were happily munching on leaves from the bushes northeast of the ammo compound near ///meaty.feed.landat 10:25 this morning. They were very friendly and soon came out to say hello, enjoying plenty of strokes. After a while, they followed me to the southern side of the compound, where the other five ponies were happily grazing. One by one, they came over to greet me, each enjoying neck and back rubs. Once the greetings were done, the ponies returned to grazing, gradually crossing the path into the pasture to the southwest.

The ponies continued grazing but took regular breaks to come back for more strokes. They seemed delighted to have a visitor, offering lovely cuddles and nuzzles. Davinia was particularly friendly today and stayed back for a long neck scratch. She thoroughly enjoyed it, shifting positions to ensure I reached all her itchy spots and responding with affectionate nuzzles. All the ponies appeared happy, relaxed and in great condition. I said my goodbyes just before noon as they continued grazing, slowly moving south.

The yearlings were tricky to reach again today, as they seemed to enjoy hiding deep in the gorse bushes. I went looking for them when I first arrived but gave up when I couldn't find a clear path from any direction. By 12:15, they had moved north and were grazing in the thicket near ///quietly.outs.swoop. The area was quite swampy, and they all had muddy legs. They slowly wandered over to say hello, giving me a few curious sniffs. The boys all looked happy and well. Shortly before 12:45, they emerged into an open area where I could check them properly before saying my goodbyes.

The cows and the ponies were all good today.
