Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Monday 1st April - All 4 seen

The ponies were relaxing under their favourite trees at 10:30 this morning.  Two ponies were lying down resting.  The other two were standing, resting a hind leg.  After about twenty minutes, the two that were lying got up and came and said hello.  They were all very friendly and were happy to receive head and neck rubs.  The ponies were all happy and looking well.

At 11:10, the ponies started grazing in the area around ///bulb.skirt.lyrics, where they stumbled upon some armed army cadets who were lying down hiding in the heather.  They soon let off a couple of shots, causing the ponies to wisely to get out of the way.  They gathered around ///cape.darker.scrub where they continued to munch on grass, heather and gorse in the sunshine.  The ponies were slowly heading towards the south side of the ammo dump when I left them at 11:30.

The ponies were all good today.
