Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

Sunday 7th April - All 4 seen - Pony with white blaze has had her foot treated. Loose perimeter fence post.

The ponies were all grazing on the southwest side of the ammo dump at 14:00 this afternoon.  They were all happy and relaxed.  The pony with the white blaze has had her injured foot treated by Nicky.  Her cut was thoroughly cleaned and then antiseptic spray applied.  She was very brave and was rewarded with some treats.  All four ponies were also wormed.  Soon after, they all wandered off to the southwest, heading for the same location as they ended up in yesterday.

After Nicky left, I went back to check the ponies were still all okay, and found them grazing in the sunshine around ///pools.cheer.chiefs at 15.30.   They were all good.  They all came and said hello again and enjoyed head and neck rubs.  The ponies continued to graze, slowly making their way to the area to the southeast of the ammo dump shortly before 16:00.

While we were having a chat at the main vehicle entrance, we noticed a fence post leaning towards the road.  Upon closer inspection, the fencepost is very loose and needs to be knocked back into the ground.  The post is at ///helpless.pots.newsprint.

The ponies were all good today.
