    Wednesday 30th

There was quite a lot of army activity in the area this morning.  I kept finding soldiers hidden in the scrub!

Eventually found the yearlings hidden in an area I hadn't been in before, ///ramming.drop.newsprint  The App helped locate them.

They were all fine and just standing quietly.  I think they were keeping well away from the soldiers.

Found all 7 ponies just in the woods at the side of the compound at ///overlooks.alley.caravans
They were all just standing quietly.  A couple came over for a sniff and nose rub
They all appeared to be fine

    Saturday 26th October - All 11 seen

The yearlings were grazing in the bushes near ///strut.class.scrubber at 13:50 this afternoon. Before long, they began to emerge and slowly approached to say hello and give me a few sniffs. The boys were all happy, relaxed and looking well. After greeting me, they went back to grazing, enjoying some grass. A heavy shower around 14:10 sent them quickly back under the trees by the road, where they began foraging for acorns. They were happy for me to wait with them until the rain stopped.

The ponies were all found near the ammo compound at 14:25. Soon after I arrived, there was another heavy shower, leaving them rather damp. Even so, they were very friendly, each coming over to greet me and enjoying plenty of strokes. They seemed delighted to have a visitor, showing lots of affection with head rubs, nuzzles and licks. I even got a few friendly nickers.

As the ponies continued grazing in the surrounding area, they took turns coming back over for more strokes. They dried off quickly and enjoyed ear, neck and back rubs. They were all super relaxed and looking really well.

The group had crossed over the path and began grazing near ///bleak.tour.stems by 15:45. Most wandered into the thicket, but a few remained out in the open, munching on grass. They came over for some final strokes before I said my goodbyes around 16:10.

The cows and the ponies were all good today.

Saturday 25th Yearlings in E9 and ponies in E6/D6 12.30

All found today. Ponies grazing and one up on the blast barrier. Black pony with one white foot was a bit seperate from others again

Fri 25 Oct 24, (10.50 - 11.55) No sight of Cattle. All 7 Ponies Seen

Unfortunately, when I arrived I noticed that I only had little charge in my phone.  It asked me if I wanted to go into "low power mode" and I said yes.  I believe that is why  the GPS cattle map would not work. E.G.  it solidly said that the cattle were at a location that I checked out several times and they were not.  I tried refreshing several times and closing the app, bit to no avail.  It also maintained that I was positioned right beside the compound for the whole time too.

On returning home and plugging the phone in to charge, the cattle's location moved and it also showed my correct location.   So I believe that the issue may have been with "Low Power Mode" on my phone and not the cattle's collar/GPS system.

I initially found two ponies in the wood S of the track in D5.  They allowed me to approach photo and one of them seems to enjoy/endure a neck stroke for about 30 secs.

I then rode, (Mbike not pony) round to the nearby compound, where I found the remaining five ponies in the NE corner of D6 and NW corner of D7.  "SL" was particularly friendly today allowing me to stroke her neck and clear her mane for several minutes.   All ponies were grazing and appeared content.

I then went looking for the cattle, with no GPS location info or luck.  My search included all on the main tracks and a circumnavigation of the whole perimeter.  I suspect that they were probably in the woodland around K5, which is very wet and I didn't access or the woodland in the NE of the area.

Before leaving I returned to the compound area where I found all 7 together in D6 & E6 and one of them was on top of the bund around the compound's western perimeter.  I took two photos of this pony from each side of the bund.

On return home, (circa 12.00) the GPS tracker map showed the cattle collar on the main NW-SE track in J4.  At 14.04 it is shown to be on the border of J2 &  J3.
