Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Wednesday 23rd

Found 5 of the ponies in the trees at ///accordion.blown.list

They all seemed calm and relaxed.

Found the other 2 at ///coaster.astounded.blankets they were grazing in the open.

Managed to get the tracker to work and it showed the yearlings in the corner by the water trough.  Made my way over there and there they were.  All just stood together.  276 came to sniff me and had a head rub for a short while.

282 had what appeared to be signs of blood in the hair by the front right 'armpit'  I tried to get a close look but he wasn't playing!  As he walked away it looked like the 'armpit' was red and very sore.  I phoned it in just in case.

As I walked back towards the compound came across 3 of the ponies grazing but I noticed a group of soldiers in the bushes in an ambush and coming down the other way were a couple of other soldiers.  Battle commenced with smoke flares and shooting which really spooked the ponies.  They eventually managed to gallop off out of the way and I last saw them the other side of the compound.
