Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Fri 31 Jan 25. (08.40 - 09.15) All 12 Seen. All appear happy & content.

Found 6 of the ponies along the sandy NW/SE track in G6.  They all were friendly & content.  At that time I couldn't find the other two, which included the dark one with the white sock on rear off-side leg.

I could see one of the cows up by the compound.  So I went there and found all four happily grazing by the N fence of the ammo dump compound fence within E5.

I then had a tour of the whole area, but could not find the other two ponies.

I returned to where I'd earlier seen the main body of ponies, by which time they were just off  to the S side of the sandy track between the two raised manhole cover in G6/H6.  This time I walked to the other side of the thick gorse bordering the sandy track and was able to confirm that all eight ponies were there.
