Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Sunday 19th January - All 12 seen

The ponies were happily grazing near ///seeing.loads.video at 12:30 this afternoon. They were very friendly, approaching one by one to say hello and enjoy some strokes. The girls were affectionate, offering gentle nuzzles and head rubs. Polly was especially friendly, greeting me with soft nickers before enjoying a long, relaxing neck rub.

After our initial greetings, the ponies returned to grazing but frequently came back to spend some time with me, enjoying neck, ear, and back rubs. It was wonderful to share some quiet, relaxing time with them. All the ponies were happy, relaxed, and in excellent condition.

The yearlings, who had been grazing near the main path to the north of the site, wandered over to graze in the heather near ///tools.finalists.clotting around 13:15. They seemed happy to see a familiar face, cautiously approaching with curious sniffs before accepting strokes. All four yearlings appeared happy and healthy.

After checking on the yearlings, I returned to spend some more time with the ponies. I began saying my goodbyes around 13:45, but Polly wasn't ready for me to leave. Each time I tried to walk away, she followed, eager for more strokes. I finally said my goodbyes at 14:00, leaving the ponies happily grazing.

The cows and the ponies were good today.
