Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Sunday, 16 March 2025

Sun. 16th March 2015 (11.35 - 12.25) Saw All Eight Ponies and All Four Cattle. All appeared well.

Quite quickly, I found 5 ponies grazing in E9, just to the east of the tarmac road.  I could hear another pony or ponies calling from NE of there.

I headed off in the direction that I had heard the other pony(ies) calling from.  Not far away in F8, I found the dark pony with the white rear hoof & sock on her own.  She called a couple of times while I was there, but other than that appeared ok.

From this same position I could also see all 4 cattle at the S end of the track in F8.  They all appeared OK as well.

I then did a quick look for the other two ponies around the rest of the meadow, with no success.  So, I returned to the S end of the tarmac road from the ammo dump and this time found all 8 ponies either on or just off on both sides of the tarmac road in E8/E9.  All appeared well and welcoming to neck rubs.
