Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

Tuesday 11th March cows in the gorse in K4 and 6 ponies inI3/I4

We found the cows in the gorse munching very hard on it. They were very focussed and did not come and say hello. After we saw the ponies the cows crossed over the path into K3..you can just about see them in the close ups

We managed to fine 6 ponies the black one with white back right foot and another brown one not seen. Davinia was very friendly. She let me have a look at the scaly patch and there appears to be a couple of ticks there. She has a small patch on her forehead too. After we walked away she nipped the brown/grey mixed one on the hind end! They all moved onto the thick gorse to the side of the path. We tried but could not find the other two.

    They looked fine
