Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

Mon 10 Mar 25 (08.30 - 09.20) All 8 Ponies seen in E5. Unable to find any of the Cattle.

I found the ponies quite quickly. They were all together in woodland just north of the ammo Dump within E5.  They were very relaxed, just standing or lying down.  Not eating or moving but seemingly very relaxed.   All were happy to be approached by me for strokes

Unfortunately, I had not read Jacky's Sat oberservation report until I returned, so I did not check Davina neck..

I then went looking for the cattle, who, (according to the GPS Tracker Map) were on the border of J3 & K3, just north of the main E-W track.    However, when I got there I could not see, (or hear) them and the gorse too thick to view into and the ground too wet for me to enter north of the main track.
