Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Mon 3 Mar 25 (16.00 - 17.15) Found all Four Cattle in F6. Only Found 3 Maybe 4 in G3

I came across the four cattle at the same time as I saw one of the H&IWWT Rangers - Dave.  It was the first time that we had met and we had a short conversation as the cattle grazed contentedly about us in F6, near to the ammo dump.

I had already had a tour on my bike of the meadow, without finding the ponies.  I checked to the West again to no avail and then left the area to ride the perimeter tracks.  As I headed east on the northern perimeter track I spotted the pony with the white left rear white sock & hoof grazing near the fence just out of some thick gorse.   As I was taking photos of this pony, I heard something move within the gorse & thought I may have caught a quick glimpse of another pony.   I was unable to photograph or verify this "sighting".  After a few minutes, a second pony, (branded "NS") appeared and then another, (no major distinguishing marks - to my untrained eye).
