Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Tue 24 Sept 24 (14.50 - 15.20) 6 out 8 Ponies Spotted.

At 14.50 I spotted 3 ponies grazing just off the track in the open ground in D7.  No sign of any other ponies with them or anywhere else south or west of the access road & compound.  All three eventually joined me on the track for a stroke.  After about 15 mins I started walking up the track towards the compound.  The tree ponies followed me and I stopped a few times for more strokes.  The selected to head east around the southern edge of the compound.  I went ahead and found another three ponies at the junction of tracks at the north end of F6.  After a few minutes the original three ponies joined us.  After a few minutes they all followed a vague path through high, thick gorse and headed north.  I did not follow.

They all,  (6 I saw) appeared to be happy grazing and moving freely.
