Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Sun 4 May 25 (08.35 - 08.50) Only managed to see Two yearlings, (282 & 276) in J6

I  walked north off the main E-W track in J7 and onto the wet ground in J6.  I could see two of the yearlings emerging from the thick silver birch to our NE.  However, the ground in front, (to the N) of my brother & I was very wet and they appeared to be coming out of a pond with ducks on.  So we were unable to move closer to them

After calling theme of a few minuted they gradually made their way over to us, but their main thought was grazing on the green grass.

According to the GPS tracker app, the other two should have been visible to us, just a few yards further to the north, but we never caught sight of them.

As 282 & 276 came closer I managed to get some photos.   Unfortunately we never caught any sight of the other two.

The two we did see appeared OK.

Saturday 3rd May - Pony Update - Victoria and Florin have had their foals

Nicky kindly let me know that Victoria had a beautiful colt foal yesterday morning. Both mum and foal are doing really well.

This morning, Florin also gave birth to her foal, and I'm pleased to report that both mum and foal are healthy and doing great.

Just wanted to share the wonderful news — the foals are absolutely gorgeous! ❤️

    Saturday 3rd May - All 4 seen

The yearlings were happily grazing in the swampy area north of the entrance by the car park, near ///livid.zest.scoping at 14:35 this afternoon. Yearling 276 spotted me approaching and immediately came over to greet me, sparing me from wading through the thick, wet mud to reach them. He was incredibly friendly, thoroughly enjoying endless neck, ear, head, and back rubs, and rewarding me with plenty of cuddles and licks. He especially loved a long chin rub, even resting his head on my shoulder for a while.

Before long, the other three yearlings wandered over to say hello as well. They were just as friendly, happily accepting strokes and rubs before settling nearby to relax and chew their cud. By 15:00, they'd made their way under the shade of the trees to the south near ///yappy.boils.vest, though yearling 276 stayed behind a little longer, still enjoying being fussed over.

A little later, I went to check on them and found yearlings 278 and 283 lying down, contentedly chewing their cud. Yearling 282 came straight over, keen for more strokes and rubs, while yearling 276 stood at my side, happily chewing his cud.

Yearlings 276 and 282 alternated between resting, chewing their cud, and coming over for more strokes and rubs. They were an absolute pleasure to spend time with. I said my goodbyes at 16:15, leaving all four peacefully resting under the trees. They were all happy, relaxed, and looking well — it’s wonderful to see them continuing to gain weight and thrive.

The cows were all good today.

Saturday 3rd all seen 12.00 in H6 lots of ticks on them

All fine came over to say hello today

Friday 2nd May 25. (09.25-09.35) All 4 seen in D9 grazing the grass for England!. Appear fit & healthy. I also checked trough which was OK

A bit like Howard on Wednesday, they were totally disinterested in me.  It was heads down munching on the grass as they gradually headed north-ish.

After I'd checked the trough, they were still in full grazing mode in C8.

    Wednesday 30th - Evening

     Just a quick update.

Found the boys at ///escalates.parkway.dates. They were on a feeding mission!   They totally ignored me and were constantly on the move and eating whilst heading towards the compound.

I hung around with them for about an hour but as they didn't want to know me I went home.

    They were all fine

Thursday 1st May 9:45am. All Good

The cows did not make it easy this morning. They were really in the bushes. Eventually managed to find 3 together at ///cowboys.obstruct.petted as they slowly disappeared in to the bushes again. Then Jeans came speed walking through to catch the others up. They were all good. Nothing to report. For some reason Blogger will not let me add photos.

    Wednesday 30th. Morning

Checked the water trough first, it was all Ok As I then walked across the site to find the cows I looked for Oak trees.  There are quite a ...
