Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Saturday 10th August - All 6 seen

The ponies were all grazing in the area to the southeast of the ammo compound near ///fashion.jugs.themes at 15:45 this afternoon.  All six were very friendly and approached one by one to say hello.  They enjoyed lots of ear, neck and back rubs.  There were lots of flies around today, which were mostly gathering on the ponies faces.  The ponies didn't seem overly bothered by them, though.

The ponies continued to graze in the surrounding area, enjoying lots of fresh grass, heather, and gorse.  They were all happy, relaxed and looking really well.  The girls would regularly come over to see me and receive some more strokes.  Davinia was super friendly again today and enjoyed a long neck rub.  She must have been eating in some gorse bushes recently because her mane and forelock had many spiky leaves stuck in them.  She was happy to stand and let me remove them.

The ponies had started to graze down both sides of the path towards the entrance by the car park when I said my goodbyes at 16:45.

The ponies were all good today.
