I found the first two ponies on the main track running NW-SE thru G6. There were another four just round the corner on the small track in F6 that heads SW in or on the edge of a thick patch of gorse. They were all grazing and generally heading SE.
I noticed that one pony, (white rear RHS hoof & short sock) has a large crack in her front LHS hoof. .I took a photo of the hoof and pony to ID. -
The yearlings were nearby, but were heading into deep gorse. Which only allowed a couple of photos of head & body before all that could be viewed was a rear view, which at least I now know, (thanks to Jacky) allows conditioning to be assessed.
Hi Tony, thanks for flagging the ponies hoof. I'm over at Hawley shortly as I need to take a look at something there anyway. It doesn't look too alarming but I'll let the grazier know.
ReplyDeleteI forgot to say that I did phone Sean and advised him.
ReplyDeleteThanks Tony. Nicky the grazier will come out on the weekend and assess. She may need to visit the farrier.
