The four cattle were initially seen and photographed immediately north of the ammo dump in E5 grazing in light scrub. They all appeared well and approached towards me.

As I was leaving the ammo dump on the main track heading towards the cattle grid in J7 I passed three soldiers, who had reported that they had seen five ponies near the cattle grid.
When I got to the location, I could only find one pony - the the one with the short white sock and hoof on her rear rhs foot. She was on the singletrack path, just 30 yards west of the cattle grid in J7. . She appeared well and relaxed allowing me to stroke under her mane for some time, She called out twice while I was with her & another time as I was 50 yards back up the main track towards the ammo dump. However, I never heard any response from the others. I did not see her graze, but she appeared relaxed.
As I left the meadow, I passed the four cattle again happily grazing to the south of the ammo dump.
